Wheeler Coleman is the CEO and founder of Executive Consultants United (EC-United), a comprehensive

technology firm delivering innovative professional services, hardware, software, and workforce labor

solutions. EC-United is one of the National Minority Supplier Diversity Council’s (NMSDC) Fast 50 Top

Growing MBEs and a part of Microsoft’s Black Partner Growth Initiative. Under Wheeler’s leadership,

EC-United has exponentially grown, last year doubling its employees and increasing year-over-year

revenue by over 100%.

Wheeler has more than three decades of IT experience, beginning his career as a software developer at

HCSC, ultimately progressing to Vice President and Chief Technology Officer for five years, where he

managed a $756 million IT budget. Wheeler then became the Senior Vice President and CIO at Lifetime

Health Care Companies until 2014 when he joined Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan as Senior Vice

President and CIO.

Deeply committed to community engagement, Wheeler serves on the boards of Chicago MSDC, and as

Vice Chair of Special Olympics of Illinois and Northern Illinois University’s Foundation. Wheeler received

a B.S. in Computer Science from Northern Illinois University and an MBA from the University of Notre

Dame.
