Jourdan Sorrell is a senior executive driving digital opportunity, institutional partnerships, and economic growth in the Greater Chicagoland. As Senior Manager of External Affairs at Comcast Corporation, he leads regional strategy to expand broadband connectivity, accelerate digital adoption, and deploy philanthropic capital in ways that strengthen communities and unlock opportunity. His work bridges corporate innovation with civic responsibility, delivering measurable outcomes for individuals, families, and small businesses.
Jourdan’s leadership is rooted in public policy and systems change. As former Director of Public Policy for Cook County Commissioner Stanley Moore, he advanced real estate development, supplier diversity, and procurement practices. His career includes pivotal roles at the Cook County Clerk’s Office and the Chicago Community Trust, where he helped shape civic infrastructure and investment frameworks that endure today.
He serves as Board President of the South East Chicago Commission and a board member of the Association House of Chicago. As a member of the Business Leadership Council, Jourdan champions small business growth.
A recognized leader in both corporate and civic spheres, Jourdan has been honored by the Chicago Defender’s Men of Excellence, Chicago Scholars 35 Under 35, Who’s Who in Chicago, and the WVON and Ariel Investments 40 Under 40. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the University of Notre Dame.
