Google

About

Google is a multinational technology company best known for its search engine, which is the most widely used in the world. Founded in 1998 by Larry Page and Sergey Brin, Google has grown into a global leader in internet services and products.

Beyond search, Google’s products include Gmail (email), Google Maps, Google Drive (cloud storage), Google Docs/Sheets/Slides (productivity tools), YouTube, and the Android operating system. The company is also a major player in advertising, cloud computing, hardware (Pixel phones, Chromebooks, Nest devices), and artificial intelligence.

Google is a subsidiary of Alphabet Inc., its parent company formed in 2015 to oversee Google and its other ventures. Its mission is simple but far-reaching: “to organize the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful.”
