As the founder of Onyx Strategic Partners, I founded a purpose-led strategic business consulting firm. My mission is to offer professional advice and actionable solutions, built on "The Art of Onyx": Authenticity, Relationships, and Trust(ART). I'm driven to make a tangible, positive difference by understanding what truly motivates people.

With nearly three decades of experience, including 28 years at UCAN, I've mastered connecting people and resources for significant impact. Onyx specializes in government & community engagement, DEI, project management, organizational program design, and leadership development. I thrive as the "spark" for constructive conversations and collective success across diverse sectors.

My leadership is rooted in unwavering authenticity, integrity, and pure motives. I'm passionate about fostering thriving communities. I champion human-centered leadership that builds genuine understanding and partnerships for everyone's benefit.

Currently, I serve on several boards including the Homan Square Foundation, American Lung Association and Rush\BMO Health Equity Institute. Civic engagement defines my career, recognized as a 2004 Leadership Greater Chicago Fellow, 2021 Notable DEI Executive with Crain’s Chicago Business, and 2021 Chicago Cubs Nike Connect Community Champion. I'm also a proud father of three lovely children and happily married to Heather Ireland Robinson.
